Iphone is coming to Malaysia!...... in 2 years time.

It has been a trend in The State for almost every new product to be contracted with another related company. This unfortunately applies to Iphone too, the most awaited phone ever. Apple has tied the cooperation with Cingular and AT&T for phone and wireless network respectively. Both especially AT&T contracts regarded by Iphone critics as unnecessary and will hold back Iphone sale. AT&T as I know, still provide short bandwidth internet service (and of course can be subscribed in US only) while tie with Cingular simply means no users outside United State can use the Iphone to make phone call which then means no use of buying it. By the time Iphone get to Malaysia, if it is not updated, it will be obsolete. But I would say, it's worth the waiting with all the features packaged stuff. Simply put, it is a Ipod + Phone + GPS + Internet + PDA not to mention the design and other features (checkout the videos) that redefine the mobile phone. Latest rumor has it that a petition will be held for Apple to cancel the contract with AT&T (hopefully, with Cingular too). To all those of u who want to get it any earlier, pray that the petition will work out.
